Visitor Events

We will learn techniques of how to ID Golden Bamboo, how to remove bamboo and create tangible items from this grass. Please bring gloves. All tools will be provided.

Come join the Naturalist to learn about the survival tactics and adaptations of this true hibernator. This will include observing their points of residency.

Let us go on a journey to find clues of Spring emergent, from birds to bees to leafing trees.

A chance to meet the director to learn about the opportunities for children to attend our Summer Nature Camp. The director will also share his stories and experiences with the program. Refreshments will be served.

We will seek out some of the earlier warbler migrants, as well as staying in tune with the backyard and aquatic birds. Please bring binoculars. Meet at Visitor Center.

Discuss and identify birds and other species that you may find in your backyard. This includes a journey into the Sanctuary. Meet at Visitor Center.

We will look at the parts that make up the sum of this exciting project. This includes a living shipwreck visit, geology exploration and a chronology demonstration. Meet at Visitor Center.

Observe different species of evergreen vegetation, from trees to shrubs and others. This will include sample collecting. Meet at Visitor Center.
