Volunteer
About
As a volunteer, you can help us keep the sanctuary habitat in great shape for our flora and fauna. We need your help in removing invasive plants, maintaining our trails, picking trash from our shoreline, and keeping the sanctuary safe and beautiful for both visitors and wildlife.
How you can help
While Volunteer Workdays are scheduled periodically (click here for our calendar of events), we always appreciate anyone willing to donate their time to clean up the sanctuary! Contact our curator or stop by the visitor center when staff are present and ask how you can help.
Want to clean up litter while walking the trails or beach? Grab a bucket located by the garage at the trailhead any day. We appreciate the extra hands in keeping our sanctuary beautiful!
On Volunteer Workdays, bring a water bottle, and dress for the season. We suggest wearing long pants, long-sleeved shirt, and sturdy footwear. We’ll supply the tools and cotton work gloves.
Thank you!
Would you like to join a Committee?
We have a number of active committees for our members to get involved. Some of our activities include grounds upkeep, advocacy, and fund raising. If you have an idea, want to volunteer, or are interested in joining our Board – tell us!
