Frequently Asked Questions

After you purchase your membership, your card will be made and then mailed to you. This process may take a few weeks.

When your card is mailed, you will receive an email from “friendsofreadws@gmail.com”, if we have your email address. Please check your junk and spam folders for any emails if you do not hear from us.

Shipping your membership card may take a couple of weeks, or longer in the summer months. We appreciate your patience.

If you were a member in 2022 or 2023, we will ask Playland to reactivate your old card and will let you know by email (from “friendsofreadws@gmail.com”) once that is complete. We only send a new card to renewals if we are asked to do so

It may take a few days for Playland to reactivate your card. In the meantime, be sure you are using the correct entrance gate (lane 5) and that you are “tapping” the card on the RFID reader. There is a video on how to use your card properly on our website in the contact section.

If you are using lane 5 and “tapping” and it has been more than a week since you were told the card was reactivated, please let us know. Include your card ID numbers.

Please verify that the address you gave us was correct and complete.

Please check with others at your address. You’d be surprised how often we are told that the card was found “somewhere safe”.

If you still haven’t found your card, please let us know by email at “friendsofreadws@gmail.com”.

Yes, as long as your membership is active for this year. The year sticker on your card has no effect on its use. Think of it as a “born on” date. If the card you are using has a sticker earlier than 2022, you are using an old, obsolete card. Please discard it.

Yes. The card replacement fee is $10. Please click here to order your replacement card.

Yes. If you have a family membership you are entitled to two membership cards. If you email us with a second name and email address we can send you the additional card.

It may take several days to receive a reply from us. Especially during the summer season when we receive a high volume of emails. As a small, volunteer-based organization, we appreciate your patience.
